After a cartoon drawing class in the 6th grade I wanted to grow up to be a cartoonist, this dominated my time in high school where my focus over those years fell into art. At the end of year 12 I receive the award for Most Artistic Male in my year.
In 2017 I did my Diploma of Digital & Interactive Games, this challenged me on all angles creatively. One of my favourite pieces of work from my 3D Modelling unit was the ‘Trash Dove’ side project, for the sake of experimenting and fine tuning my animation skills. This success has encouraged further experimentation in my work from that point onwards.
I believe that my experience in Unity 3D & 3DS Max in particular has greatly aided my abilities in learning my way around Adobe PhotoShop and now InDesign & Illustrator. In 2020 I completed my Diploma of Photography & Photo-Imaging, where experimentation, particularly for Illustrative & Surrealism was paramount. I then pursued the Advanced Diploma of Visual Arts (Focused in photography) in 2021, where I took part in hosting an exhibition with my class, which did quite well in spite of Covid restrictions in place at that time.
Manga and Anime style has always been my favourite artistic mediums but I have always had a soft spot for 2D characters in any and all formats. As much as I adore the complexity in cartoons and animation, nothing compares to the minimalism and simplicity behind symbols and logos, so my logo designs consist of basic shapes and minimal text if any, if in colour it also needs to work in black and/or white.
I do enjoy adding a degree of shock value within my work, be it from my art, my writing or expression, over the past decade I have also picked up photography and merged that with activism and human rights.
tl;dr, here's my blog
