Statement on the Use of AI by the Artist:

First and foremost, my use of AI is driven by artistic curiosity and experimentation. What began as simple exploration has grown into a genuine creative partnership — I’ve now released over 30 albums that incorporate AI in various ways, including more awaiting release and several others in development.

I’m fully aware of the ongoing debates surrounding AI, especially when it intersects with art. For me, it’s a fascinating medium — unpredictable, imperfect, and often revealing in ways I don’t expect. Sometimes the results miss the mark entirely; other times they produce something so strange or striking that it reshapes how I think about creativity itself.

My stance has always been that AI should be embraced, but harnessed responsibly. Like any new technology, it’s a tool — one that can amplify human imagination when used thoughtfully. I’ve seen its potential far beyond the arts, from assisting in medical diagnostics like cancer detection to enabling accessibility tools that improve lives. Those applications alone show that this technology deserves a place in our creative and cultural evolution.

That said, I remain mindful of its ethical and philosophical implications — especially around authorship, awareness, and the boundaries between human and machine creativity. The “self-awareness” question lingers in our collective imagination (we’ve all seen Terminator), but I believe what truly matters right now is how we, as humans, choose to guide and shape these tools.

In my work, AI is not a replacement for creativity — it’s a collaborator, a mirror, and sometimes, a chaotic muse. It reflects both the possibilities and imperfections of our own creation.
